To quantify risk it is necessary
to combine probabilities of failure with the consequences
of failure. eaCAT is a software tool that allows risk
to be quantified and visualized at various levels, from
the individual asset to a complete asset base. Changes
in risk over time can be examined and intervention strategies
developed and their effects, both in terms of risk reduction
and capital and operational expenditure, tested.
