The Lightning Location System was originally
developed to assist the UK electricity companies
segregate lightning related incidents and non-lightning
related incidents. It is now used by many of them
to improve the efficiency of their operations.
In addition, the value of the information is rapidly
being appreciated by users in other industries.
Industries in which applications have already
been identified include: Telecommunications, Insurance,
Petrochemical, Civil and Military Aviation. There
is also the obvious applications involved with
identifying high risk areas requiring extra lightning
protection systems.
As the number and type of companies who use information
from the system increases, we are continually
developing new and improved services to meet their
specific requirements.

Lightning
system audits
Lightning is a natural hazard, through out the
world lightning causes injuries to people and
damage to buildings. Valuable process time could
be lost by damage to electrical plant, a lightning
audit of an installation will determine whether
the most appropriate protection system is currently
installed.
