Training Consultant, Power Skills Centre (PSC), EA Technology ISI Limited

Reporting to: Head of Training

Work arrangement: Full-time, based at Capenhurst

Job Purpose:

To join an ambitious team and make a direct contribution to the overall business objectives of the PSC.

The position will require an innovative and flexible approach to provide effective solutions to the demands of Learning and Development within the Power Sector.

Working to the highest standards to ensure the training provided for each client has immediate benefit, impact and value.

Overview of Main Responsibilities:

Carrying out a range of activities within the PSC that will include:

• The development and delivery of courses.
• The implementation and project management of bespoke training programmes.
• Ensure that training programmes and courses meet the learning objectives and are delivered on time and budget.

The position will require the ability to prepare presentation material and deliver it using a variety of teaching techniques over a range of subjects within high voltage engineering.

Academic/Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Either a qualified teacher/trainer with experience of working within the Electricity Supply Industry OR a minimum of 10 years experience of working within the electricity supply industry and an aptitude for developing people, plus a willingness to work towards a teacher / trainer qualification.
• Membership of a professional institution is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build close customer relationships.
• Excellent organisational, teamworking and problem solving skills are a prerequisite for the position.
