The Energy Innovation Centre
The Energy Innovation Centre is an independent business within EA Technology, established to support new ideas and innovation in the energy sector from first concept through to market readiness. As well as assisting with applications for funding, the Centre also provides business back up, including offices, and expert advice and guidance on both technical and commercial issues. The Energy Innovation Centre actively seeks businesses or individuals with a bright idea in energy products or services that they want to turn into commercial reality. The Centre connects businesses to funding from various sources, including the Innovation Funding Incentive (IFI), Equity Investment Partners and Public Sector grant funding.
However, there is much more to the Centre’s offering than just funding contacts. The Energy Innovation Centre also puts businesses in touch with the R&D teams of some of the key energy industry players, as well as the technical support of EA Technology, to help test and prove their concept. The centre also provides professional business support and mentoring to ensure that the idea is commercially viable and help create a workable business plan.
Finally and perhaps most importantly, the Energy Innovation Centre provides a wealth of unrivalled industry contacts, putting inventors and innovators in front of the right people at the right time to push their project forward.
