The aim of EA Technology Analytical is to support owners and operators of electrical plant in managing their assets as safely, reliably and cost effectively as possible.

Our Failure Investigation & Prevention service, Power Forensics™, has been providing forensic investigation, failure analysis and accident investigation services for more than 40 years. The service covers distribution and transmission use in a wide variety of industries, from EHV transmission and distribution, to low voltage controls and components.

An essential part of forensic and other investigations, is Material Testing and Analysis. Our expert team can identify the condition of both individual components and complete assets, using tried and tested professional procedures, to provide accurate and reliable condition data to ensure quality, identify faults and predict and prevent failures.

Our experience comes to the fore in our Oil Condition Analysis, OilData™. Extensive research at EA Technology has identified oil condition and deterioration as a key indicator of the condition of oil filled HV assests (including switchgear and transformers). From these results, we have been able to create a highly reliable test programme to assess switchgear and transformers based on oil analysis, helping asset managers to create efficient and effective maintenance regimes and identify potential failures before they happen.
