OVERVIEW

The CableSniffer has changed forever the way faults in LV underground cables are located. Instead of using expensive and time-consuming test excavations on a trial and error basis, operators drill a series a small holes in the area of the cable and the CableSniffer analyses the gases produced, which are given off by failing joint and insulation and increase with proximity to the fault. The CableSniffer's accuracy means a fault can usually be found with a single excavation, saving time, money and environmental damage.
