BENEFITS
- Fast and accurate site service
- Works with paper and polymer insulated cables
- Reduces the need for expensive excavation work
- Ideal for pre-commissioning and post-repair tests
- Locates partial discharge activity in cables BEFORE it leads to failures
- Reduces the risk of unplanned, expensive outages

The Cable partial discharge mapping service™ service works on the principle of energising HV cables at Very Low Frequency (VLF), making the system very portable and requiring only a 13amp 240V supply.
Time-of-flight measurements are then used to calculate cable length, then all captured data is processed using EA Technology’s bespoke software. The software calculates the location and magnitude of recorded PD waveforms.
Our system is completely safe, non-destructive and has a 15 year track record of success, from the UK to the Far East.
NEW Cable Seeker™ Service
A new addition to EA Technology’s Cable mapping service which provides accuracy and efficiency to all of our clients. Talk to us now about the latest techniques available for mapping the location of your buried cables.
Our new CableSeeker™ service greatly enhances the value of PD Cable discharge mapping by plotting the course of underground cables.
We achieve this by using a uniquely sensitive and versatile instrument, which uses multiple sensors to triangulate the exact location of cables, including their depth and direction.
