EA Technology's helicopter inspection service has been designed to overcome all the aforementioned limitations associated with foot patrols. The inspection method combines the skills of a trained visual observer with those of a cameraman gathering high resolution photographs, both onboard the helicopter.
All the information captured by the observer and the cameraman is stored on EA Technology's aviation approved onboard recording equipment.

Following flying, all the photographs are examined by a team of experience EA Technology inspectors to perform a detailed assessment of the features required for the ESQC/Safety Inspection.
For each of the route inspected, the information recorded onboard the helicopter by the observer is merged with the results from the photographic assessment and stored in a custom designed spreadsheet.
Whilst the information captured may vary slightly differ from one client to another, it will typically include an assessment of the following:
- Land type
- Land use
- Risk of third party interference
- Major defects
- Tree encroachment within span
- Vegetation growth around the tower footings
- Condition of safety and warning signs
- Condition of anti-climbing devices
- Evidence of vandalism or illegal attachments
- Additional information required by the client
