Course Profile
The objective of this course is to introduce delegates to electrical power engineering and it is applicable to engineers working for owners and users of electricity networks including large industrial users of electricity up to and including 132kV.
The course will cover all aspects of power systems engineering and will provide delegates with a sound foundation upon which they can pursue a power engineering career.
The course is based on the well-established one, two and three day courses that have been running at EA Technology for over ten years.
Who should attend?
This course has been designed for the following delegates:-
• Graduate engineers with an electrical background
• Engineers who have changed jobs and are now working in a power systems environment
• Ex-industrial staff or technicians who are now undertaking engineering duties in a power systems environment.
Benefits of attending
As a result of attending the course, delegates will gain a thorough understanding of power systems engineering that will form a sound foundation for their early careers and help them with their future learning and development.
Additionally, they will gain a wide-ranging appreciation of the various elements of electricity systems up to and including 132kV and enhance their learning during the site visits shown below.
Course visits will be arranged from the following list:
Cable Manufacturer
Control room of a local electricity company
Grid substation
