Automatic power network restoration systems

SureNET Technology Limited is a new venture spin off from EA Technology, set within the Energy Innovation Centre to develop innovative power restoration systems for the electricity network and rail industries.

SureNET's mission is to develop and bring to market a series of four groundbreaking innovations:

HV Sure

HV Sure will automatically restore power to healthy parts of 11kV networks, which experience outages as a result of faults on the network. This will dramatically reduce Customer Minutes Lost (CMLs).

LV Sure

LV Sure will apply the same principle to LV networks.

Signal Sure

Signal Sure uses a similar principle to restore railway network signals automatically. Thus restoring track availability.

SureNET Fault Passage Indicator

SureNET Fault Passage Indicator (FPI), a key component of HV Sure, will also be developed as a stand alone product to assist network fault location.
