The Network Studies team is looking for an Electrical Power System engineer with more than 10 years of experience in electrical power generation, transmission and distribution to join its offices in Capenhurst, Chester. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of Power Systems theory and an in-depth knowledge of Power Systems Modelling & Analysis. In particular, experience with the following aspects of Protection is required: Protection System Theory, Scheme Functionality & Design, Coordination Studies, Commissioning and Fault Investigations. Experience conducting Grid Code Compliant Assessments and Arc Flash Studies would be advantageous and the candidate must have a commercial focus and be permanently contributing to business development activities. Other desirable competencies include: DNO experience, Consultancy background, Substation Design understanding, scripting language knowledge.
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) preferably chartered, able to work effectively in a team environment promoting effective cooperation, commitment and team working. Be self-motivated and enthusiastic about your work showing initiative and flexibility.
