Reporting to: Head of EV Readiness
Work arrangement: Permanent / Full-time
EA Technology was established in 1966 and has been at the forefront of many technological advances that have reshaped the way electrical distribution networks are managed and run. We have become a world leader in electronic products and services which have enhanced the performance, reliability, safety and cost-efficiency of power assets connected to electricity distribution networks.
Currently we are undertaking several exciting development opportunities to help prepare distribution networks for the future, including flexible substation platforms allowing third-party access to network data and the ability to run third party apps on our devices.
In parallel, we are delivering a number of high profile innovation projects on behalf of distribution network businesses and seek to supplement the existing team of exceptional professionals.
Growth in our organisation has led to a number of job vacancies and we also wish to take the opportunity to attract new skills and ways of thinking.
We recognise that people with excellent communication skills are as vital a part of the team, as the technical talent needed to generate our great work. Much of what we do is disseminated to a wide audience and it is important that we get the messages and methods of communication right. Increasingly our business is about exciting innovation in data, commercial arrangements and business processes, and less about power engineering. We want great people with an eye for detail, spades of common sense and a penchant for data analytics.
There’s lots of scope for new and exciting opportunities, we’re right in the heart of a fast-moving energy industry.
It’s not just about what you know… we need people with a talent for networking, a desire to understand our customers better and a keen eye for new opportunities to deliver value.
You will sit in the EV Readiness team and will have the opportunity to work on some of our leading projects such as Electric Nation and OpenLV. Key to the success of these projects is prizing valuable insights from the data we capture during our trials. This then is translated into clear and useful messages that we pass to our clients and stakeholders in the form of blogs, social media, reports, presentations and conversations.
We seek a unique individual who can ensure that these key messages are obtained, through analysis and working with the wider team, and then disseminated appropriately. You will also have the ability to translate quite complex technical learning and results into plain English for our non-technical stakeholders.
This role will suit professionals with experience in consultancy and/or technically minded individuals with very strong communication skills.
If you are interested in taking up this exciting challenge, and would like to be considered for the above vacancy, then please send a CV quoting reference 1252 to firstname.lastname@example.org
