Experts in electric vehicles and network solutions

EA Technology is the recognised UK authority on the impact of electric vehicles (EVs) on the electricity network, and the pioneer of smart solutions to mitigate this impact. Government bodies and major organisations in the low carbon vehicle sector seek advice and knowledge from EA Technology on all related aspects of EVs and the grid.

EA Technology is formally engaged with OLEV, Ofgem, LowCVP, Energy Networks Association, SMMT, AA, Citizens Advice, Energy UK, Innovate UK, BEAMA, Transport for London, The Institution of Engineering and Technology, Institution of Mechanical Engineers and wider automotive and utilities sector organisations through the EV Network Group. Endorsed by UK Government, the EV Network Group was founded in May 2016 by EA Technology, now in partnership with LowCVP, to bring together the automotive and utilities sector to coherently support facilitation of EVs on our electricity networks. EA Technology is at the heart of supporting and influencing Government policy; it is also working with the majority of major automotive OEMs through its Smart EV project.

EV Network Group

EA Technology established the EV Network Group as a legacy initiative of My Electric Avenue, in partnership with the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP), to facilitate dialogue between the low carbon automotive and utilities sectors, acting as the conduit for information flow between those sectors and UK Government. The Group will drive forward solutions that will allow electric vehicles to work in harmony with the GB electricity distribution network. It will act as a focal point to promote technological and infrastructural needs, in order to maximise the number of electric miles by 2030 in the most cost efficient way. Core membership comprises representatives of the utilities (distribution, transmission, supply and generation), automotive, customer and charging point supply chain stakeholders groups. The Group is supported by the UK Government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles.
